The two-stage counter-rotating fan is the most widely adopted standardized ventilation equipment in global tunnel construction. Featuring integrated factory assembly, stable aerodynamic performance and outstanding cost performance, it has become the mainstream solution for medium-short distance and large-section conventional tunnel ventilation projects.

Structural Characteristics

The counter-rotating fan adopts an integrated fixed structure with two sets of reverse rotating impellers and no intermediate guide vanes. The whole machine is fully assembled, calibrated and tested in the factory, requiring no secondary splicing on site. Independent single-stage motor control allows flexible adjustment to match variable ventilation demands at different construction stages.

Technical Limitations

The fixed two-stage structure cannot be expanded on-site, resulting in a constant wind pressure limit. When facing ultra-long distance or high-resistance tunnels, the fan is prone to insufficient pressure and obvious air volume attenuation. Without intermediate guide vane rectification, mutual airflow interference exists between the two impeller stages, leading to reduced efficiency under off-rated working conditions. High aerodynamic coupling between two stages also results in low fault tolerance, as single-stage failure will disable the entire ventilation system.

适用场景

It is highly suitable for conventional tunnels within 2500 meters, large-section tunnels and general medium and short-distance tunneling projects, serving as a mature, stable and cost-effective standard ventilation solution.
